1. Program Length
The program is designed to be like a Bible College dual-semester year (8 months), beginning in September and concluding in April. Students may choose to apply for the Summer Student Internship Positions that Evangel provides each year from May—August.
2. Practical Ministry and Internship
Students would be expected to do approximately 20 hours per week of internship activity, involved with a variety of ministries in the local church, depending on their individual gifts and passions. Each students particular gifts will be assessed at the beginning of the ESM year, and then suitable placement arranged in terms of roles and responsibilities.
3. Mentorship and Discipleship
Mentoring in church reneweal principles and practices is really at the heart of why Evangel has a school of ministry. Each student can expect to have regular and personal one on one time with members of our staff team each week, and will be included as much as possible in the regular activities of the house.
4. Application Process
Those desiring to become a student, should complete an application form, with an ensuing interview to be arranged by ESM director.
5. Future Considerations
Students who complete the first year may choose to:
- Pursue further education through another Bible College institution of their choice. Because Summit Pacific College has the highest accreditation, all courses are transferrable to most Bible Colleges, and to all PAOC Bible Colleges, includes additional credits for practical ministry/internship.
- Apply for a Ministerial Credential PAOC and interview for an available staff position with Evangel Chapel. One of the purposes of this ministry is to provision Evangel's anticipated staffing needs as the church grows and expands.
